Ionamin is a weight loss oral prescription,
which is prescribed for the treatment of obesity. This diet pill
is an appetite suppressant which works in the brain and brings about
changes in the appetite controlling center. Ionamin is prescribed
for a short duration for the management of obesity.
Weight loss drug ionamin works in conjunction
with a balanced diet and exercise. Ionamin is a sympathomimetic
amine, which is very similar to an amphetamine. Ionamin starts it
work by stimulating the central nervous system which includes the
nerves and the brain. This diet pill decreases
the appetite by increasing the heart rate and blood pressure.
Directions for Using Ionamin

Do not crush or chew Ionamin.

Ionamin should be taken once a day, at least 30 minutes before food.

Avoid taking this drug later in the day as it causes insomnia.
- This drug should be taken, as it has been instructed.
Side Effects caused due to the use of Ionamin are:
- Blurred vision
- Dry mouth
- Sleeplessness and irritability
- Throbbing heartbeat
- Stomach upset or constipation
- Diarrhea
- Dizziness
- Exaggerated feelings of elation or depression
- High blood pressure
- Headache
- Hives
- Inability to stay asleep
- Over stimulation
- Increased heart rate
- Restlessness
- Tremors
Other adverse events include central nervous system effects, gastrointestinal disturbances and changes in libido
Precautions:
- You must not exceed the recommended dose or take this medicine
for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer
than prescribed may cause serious Side Effects.
- Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until
you know how you react to Ionamin.
- Do not miss any medical appointments while taking the drug
and before any medical or dental treatments, emergency care or
surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Ionamin.
- Do not take Ionamin if you are pregnant.
- It's not known whether Ionamin is excreted in breast milk or
not but for safety's sake do not take Ionamin while breast feeding.
- Do not share this medicine with others for whom it was not
prescribed.
- Do not use Ionamin for other health conditions.
Storage:
Ionamin must be stored at room temperature
below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container,
away from heat and light. Do NOT store Ionamin in the bathroom,
near the kitchen sink or in other damp places. Heat or moisture
may cause the medicine to break down. Do NOT keep the medicine past
its expiration date. Ionamin should be kept out of children's reach.
Drugs which interact with Ionamin:
- Avoid the use of Ionamin if you take Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
(MAOIs).
- The doctor should have complete information, about the prescription
and non prescription drugs you have taken.
- Inform your doctor about medical conditions like allergies, pregnancy or incase of breast-feeding.
